Traditional ikat weaving – empowering women is a critical part of lifting traditional communities from poverty. NTA has been working with women in Flores, Indonesia to improve the quality and marketing of traditional cloth to increase incomes. Last week 6 women from 3 community groups completed a workshop in the homestay of a trainer. They focused on enhancing the use of natural dyes, marketing and product diversification.
